The Greg Renza Memorial Music Fund is a Rising Tide Music scholarship initiative created to honor Greg Renza’s memory by helping young people experience the power of music.
Our mission is simple: help remove financial barriers so more kids can take music lessons, discover their creativity, build confidence, and become part of a positive music community.

The Greg Renza Memorial Music Fund was created to honor Greg’s memory through something that can continue to make a difference: music.
Through this fund, Rising Tide Music will work to help young people gain access to music lessons, instruments, mentorship, and performance opportunities that may otherwise be out of reach.
Greg’s name will live on by helping future musicians take their first steps, find their confidence, and experience the joy of making music.

But for many families, private lessons, instruments, music programs, and performance opportunities are simply out of reach.
The Greg Renza Memorial Music Fund is being created to help close that gap.
Our First Goal: Fund 10 Kids for Music Lessons
We are starting with a simple and achievable goal:
Help 10 young people receive music lessons.
Our first scholarship effort will focus on connecting students with qualified music teachers, lesson programs, instruments, and beginner-friendly music opportunities.

What the Fund May Support
Music Lessons
Private or group lessons for students who may not otherwise be able to afford them.
Instruments
Helping students access guitars, keyboards, drums, ukuleles, microphones, or other beginner-friendly instruments.

Special music workshops, jam experiences, songwriting sessions, and beginner music education programs.
Performance Opportunities
Helping young musicians gain confidence by giving them safe, supportive places to perform.
Building the Right Structure
The Greg Renza Memorial Music Fund is currently in the development stage as a Rising Tide Music scholarship initiative.
We are exploring the best way to structure the fund, including possible nonprofit partnerships, fiscal sponsorship, or future 501(c)(3) status.
Our goal is to make sure funds are handled responsibly, transparently, and directed toward student music education.
Until the final structure is established, donations, sponsorships, and fundraising efforts will be handled according to the approved arrangement.
Important note: Tax-deductible status will depend on the final nonprofit or fiscal sponsorship structure.
